WOW - thanks for this Julia, I had never heard of this before. Great presentation of the information that you learned. I have a few questions though: is it a particular bacteria or is it any bacteria that gets into the circulatory system that can accumulate on these valves? Can it affect someone who's valves are normal? Why does the immune system not fight off the bacteria? So interesting
